Sue Ann M. Bengtson, 77, of Camanche, died Monday at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Homes and Crematory with the Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Camanche to Lewis and Irma Rose Westgate. She married Harold L. Bengtson on Nov. 14, 1945, in Camanche. He died in 2002.

She attended Camanche High School.

She was a secretary with her husband's construction business, Bengtson-Carlberg Construction Co., for 25 years.

She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary in Camanche and a past officer with the Rose Hill Cemetery Association in Camanche.

Survivors include one daughter, Rose Mary Pickering of Camanche; four sons, Harold E. Bengtson of Camanche, Tommy L. Bengtson of Davenport, David G. (Margaret) Bengtson of Clinton and Edward Bengtson of Eugene, Ore.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one brother.

The family requests that memorials be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
