Trenkamp funeral is Friday

MAQUOKETA -- Linda J. Trenkamp, 49, of Maquoketa, died Monday at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa, with the Rev. Bob Davies and Deacon Bob Head officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Maquoketa. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lahey Funeral Home in Maquoketa.

Pallbearers will be Brendon Benhart, Brandon, Shawn, Jeff and Brad Trenkamp, Brian Schaefer, Robb McColley, Tom Moore, Dick Hoover and Bob Theil.

She was born June 3, 1954, in Maquoketa to Melvin "Red" and Betty Stender Benhart. She married Dwain Trenkamp on Dec. 11, 1981, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa.

She graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1972.

She was a personal banker and a MESA adviser with US Bank in Maquoketa for 30 years.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Anne's Circle and the Maquoketa Area Foundation. She was a mentor at the Cardinal School in Maquoketa.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jennifer Trenkamp of Des Moines and Jeanna Trenkamp at home; two sons, Jason and Justin Trenkamp, both of Des Moines; her parents, Melvin "Red" and Betty Benhart of Maquoketa; on sister, Brenda Petit; three brothers Allen (Deb) Benhart, Larry (Cindy) Benhart and Brian (Kelly) Benhart, all of Maquoketa; and her father-in-law, Frank Trenkamp of Preston.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law.
