OCALA, Fla.. — Russell B. Duffy, age 90, of Ocala, Fla., passed away at Estelle’s House of Hospice on March 4, 2008. He was born on January 30, 1918, in Clinton, Iowa. Russ was an avid golfer and runner. He was employed by E.I. DuPont for 40 years in Clinton, Iowa. He and his wife, Shirley, lived in Bradenton, Fla., for 27 years before moving to The Villages for 3 years and 1 year in Ocala, Fla.Mr. Duffy is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley E. Duffy of Ocala; sons, Patrick of Ocala, Mike of Gainesville, Fla., Tim of Arvada, Colo., and Dan of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Martin Duffy. A funeral mass will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church March 6, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be in Highlands Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made to Hospice of Marion County and will be greatly appreciated.Death date: March 4, 2008
