CLINTON — Edward L. “Red” Williams, age 77, of Sabula, Iowa, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 at his home. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 3rd at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Red was born the son of Jessie and Allie Moore Williams on July 6, 1930, in Sykes, Tennessee. He served with the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. Red married Frances Wilson on February 24, 1965 in Clinton. Frances died in 1990. Red had been a truck driver with W.G. Block and Quality Ready Mix retiring in 1991. He enjoyed fishing. Red is survived by his son, Henry (Denise) Williams of Morrison; a step-son, Jim (Connie) Legal of Sabula; a grandson Jonah; 2 sisters, Josephine (George) Rhoades of Nashville, TN; and three brothers, Kenneth, Harry and Bill all of Tennessee. Red was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, and one brother.Death date: Feb. 28, 2008
