DEWITT — Bill Kagemann, 64, Lost Nation, Iowa, died Thursday morning, February 28, 2008 at home. Bill was born John William Kagemann, August 1, 1943 to Harry and Blanche (McDevitt) Kagemann. He married Pamela Joy Twigg, July 16, 1966 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove. Bill began his working career at Collis in Clinton, Iowa. He was employed by Rock Island International Harvester Works and retired from Navistar, Springfield, Ohio. Following retirement he worked for EB Construction, Clinton and Custom Pak, DeWitt. He finally retired to farming at Lost Nation, which he enjoyed greatly. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lost Nation. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Bill never knew a stranger and enjoyed visiting. Survivors include a daughter, Sheila (Rob) Ebensberger, Clinton, Iowa; a son, Billy (Glenda) Kagemann, Aledo, Illinois; four grandchildren, Adam and Derek Ebensberger and Jacob and Justine Kagemann; a sister, Mary (Mike) Gelaude, Delmar, Iowa; six brothers, David (Sue) Kagemann, Low Moor, Iowa, Alan (Gloria) Kagemann, Ed (Teresa) Kagemann, and Paul (Lorraine) Kagemann, all of DeWitt, Iowa, Jerry Kagemann, Clinton, Marty (Marita) Kagemann, Delmar; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Vicki Kearney, Eldridge, Iowa, Darrell Twigg, Walcott, Iowa, and Jack (Anna) Twigg, Chicago, Charlene Twigg and Les Martzahn, Long Grove, Iowa; nieces and nephews. Preceding Bill in death were his wife, Pam on January 15, 2004, an infant daughter, Shalen, his parents and a brother, Wayne Kagemann. Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008 with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove, from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008. A Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, in the Church with the Rev. Fr. Bill Kneemiller officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom, Bryan, Matt and Mitch Kagemann, Marty Kearney and Nick Novak. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Kearney and Lonnie and Darin Twigg.
