The Clinton Herald Monday April 18, 1988 p. 11 Gertrude B. Ingwersen, 88, of Route 1, Elvira Road, died Saturday in Bluff Terrace Nursing Home where she had been a resident for four days. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stanley Peterson officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Griswold, Delbert Dudley, Thomas McDermott, Robert Krogmann, Robert Fachett and Jim Jacobs. Honorary pallbearer will be John Van Cleve. Mrs. Ingwersen was born July 29, 1899, in Clinton, to Reinhold and Bertha Zerrahn Lange. She married John T. Ingweresen, Dec. 3, 1919, in Clinton. He died in 1973. She lived all her life in the Clinton area and attended Zion Lutheran German schools in Clinton and farmed with her husband. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and a former member of the Alvina Club. Survivors include two grandsons, Raymond E. Stuedemann of Route 3, Clinton, and John A. Studemann of Athens, Ga.; three great-granddaughters; a brother, Arthur, of Clinton; and a sister, Frieda Langheim, of Clinton. She was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother and four sisters.
