The Clinton Herald Monday November 20, 1972 p. 14 Virtus D. Greve, 67, of Low Moor, died Sunday afternoon in Jane Lamb Hospital, following three-months' illness. The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Ralph Grote of the Low Moor United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Virtus D., son of Claus and Margaret Gluesing Greve, was born May 5, 1905, near DeWitt. He married Clyda Wiley, Nov. 9, 1927, in Low Moor. He had resided in the Low Moor community for 46 years and was a retired DuPont employe. Surviving are two sons, Truman of Clinton and Courtland of Camanche; four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Arlene) Thompson, Clinton, Mrs. William (Janet) Con---, Low Moor, and Mrs. Robert (Gloria) Hill and Mrs. Dale (Margaret) Wagner, DeWitt; 19 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Flor, DeWitt, and Mrs. Bertha Nelson, Grand Mound. His wife, a grandson, three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
