The Clinton Herald Tuesday December 20, 1949 p. 13 Virtus C. Greve, 56, died at 4:55 p.m. Monday in the home of his sister, Mrs. Eddie Hagge in Andover. He had been in ill health for two years. The body is in the Shadduck funeral home, Clinton, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. F.E. Schoenbohm of Zion Lutheran church. Burial will be in Andover cemetery. The deceased was born Feb. 27, 1893, near Teeds Grove, the son of the late Johannes and Catherine Eggers Greve. He had spent his life in the Teeds Grove and Andover community and attended local schools. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He was affiliated with Elk River lodge 162, I.O.O.F. Surviving are three sisters; Mrs. Detlef Petersen, Clinton, Mrs. Dilman Wilson, Bryant, and Mrs. Hagge, Andover; four brothers, Herbert, Savanna, Arthur, Teeds Grove, John, Clinton, and Emil, Teeds Grove. His parents and two brothers, Jerry and Vernon, preceded him in death.
