The Clinton Herald Monday November 20, 1972 p. 14 Robert L. Matzen, 63, 234 13th Ave. S., was found dead of an apparent heart attack Saturday morning in his home. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Snell-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvery Grote of Zion Lutheran Church officiating and burial in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews James Matzen, Tom Palsgrove, Joe Palsgrove, Richard Matzen, Vernon wilke and David Zimmerman. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. Robert, son of Frank J. and Clara Hansen Matzen was born Aug. 25, 1909 in Clinton. He married Ruth Himebrook, May 31, 1930 in Clinton was was a guard at Lord Baltimore Press. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the United Commercial Travelers and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Survivors include his widow, four brothers, Glenn of Lincoln, Neb., Harold, Frank and Fred of Clinton; one sister, Mrs. Helen Palsgrove of Clinton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother.
