The Clinton Herald Friday April 27, 2001 p. 9A Ethel I. Greve, 86, Clinton, died Thursday at the Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton with the Rev. Wayne Brinkmann officiating. Following the service, a luncheon will be served in the church prior to graveside services. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Pape Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. Monday until the service hour at the church. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in DeWitt. Pallbearers will be members of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was born May 4, 1914, in Clinton County to Hans and Leone Scharff Greve. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1931. She worked in the E.M. DeMoss family home in Clinton for more than 40 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, where she was active with the Mary Martha Society and the church choir. She was a former member of the Clinton YWCA. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ruth (Eugene) Sheldon of Clinton; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Death date: April 26, 2001.
