The Clinton Herald Monday September 7, 1964 p. 8 Maj. David J. Hagge, 41, of Shreveport, La., son of Herbert Hagge, 2626 N. 3rd St., died Saturday in Veterans hospital in Shreveport, La. Requiem high mass will be celebrated in Little Rock, Ark. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, Ill., Arsenal. Funeral time will be announced later. Maj. Hagge was born in Clinton, Oct. 5, 1922, the son of Herbert J. and Mae Dunlavey Hagge. Reared and educated in Clnton, he graduated from St. Mary's high school in 1940. A former member of St. Irenaeus parish, he was a 1948 graduate of St. Ambrose college, Davenport. He was married to Jo Ann Roell in Davenport on Aug. 27, 1949. He entered the Air Force in 1943. A member of the Strategic Air Command, he was recalled to duty in 1951. He is survived by his wife; three children, Michael, Patrick and Cathy all at home; his father of Clinton; one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Grace) Crowley of Clinton; several aunts, uncles,nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
