The Clinton Herald Thursday August 16, 1984 p. 16 Mrs. Bernice E. Limoges, 68, 603 W. Capital, Springfield, Ill., formerly of 409 9th Ave., Fulton, died Wednesday at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, after an extended illness. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with the Rev. Barrie M. Tritle, First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zorning Funeral Home. Pallbearers, all nephews, will be Nate Soesbe, Bill Johnston Jr., Jim Fogarty, Bob and Bill Geronzin, Rob Matzen, Dave Gaarde and Curt Platter. Mrs. Limoges was born Dec. 1, 1915, in Sabula, to Jens and Emma Hanson Geronzin. She married John J. Limoges in 1950 at Nashua, Iowa. He died in December 1957. She attended Sabula schools, graduating in 1934 and was a resident of Springfield for the past 24 years. She worked for the State of Illinois in the Attorney General's Office. A veteran of World War II, she served with the Waves in the U.S. Navy. She was a member of American Legion, and Sangamon Valley Waves, both of Springfield. Survivors include three sisters Mrs. J.J. (Viola) Timmer and Mrs. Dorothy Matzen, both of Clinton, and Mrs. Ralph (Camilla) Wilkinson of Loveland, Colo.; and a brother, Hanson (Tony) Geronzin of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, four brothers and two sisters.
