The Clinton Herald Monday November 6, 1922 p. 6 Johanna Geronzin, wife of Carl Geronzin, passed away Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ingwer Christiansen, 903 Park street. Her sufferings were of more than a year's duration and due to a complication of diseases. Funeral services will be held at the Christiansen home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. P.F. Gotke, pastor of St. John's Danish Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Johanna Thompson was born in 1836 in Obay, Denmark. She married Carl Geronzin 65 years ago. To them were born nine children, three of whom preceded their mother in death. Six children and the husband, who is 93 years of age, are left to mourn. The children are August of Grand Mound, Jens of Sabula, John of Beaver Island, Mrs. Ingwer Christiansen and Mrs. Joe Christiansen. There are also 26 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
