The Clinton Herald Friday July 13, 1951 p.15 Mrs. Jens H. Geronzin, 74, of 2019 North Sixth street, died at 6:45 a.m. today in her home after a lingering illness. The body was taken to the Shaddock funeral home where friends may call beginning Saturday afternoon. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Geronzin was born Emma Hansen, July 24, 1876, near DeWitt, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen. She lived her entire life in Clinton county. She was married Oct. 5, 1894, to Jens H. Geronzin, in Davenport. They farmed for many years in the Elk River area, moving to Clinton in 1943. She was a member of the First Methodist church. Surviving are her husband; five sons, Waldemar and Gifford, both of Sabula, Arnold, Manuel, and Anson, all of Clinton; six daughters, Mrs. Marie Luckritz, Mrs. J.J. (Viola) Timmer, Mrs. John (Bernice) Limoges, Mrs. Dorothy Sullivan, and Mrs. Ralph (Camilla) Wilkinson, all of Clinton, and Mrs. Mildred Pollack, Phoenix, Ariz.; 30 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jake Hansen, of Long Grove, and Harry Hansen, Davenport; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Kelting, Davenport, Mrs. Vena Shippy and Mrs. Hannah Jacobsen, both of DeWitt, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, three brothers, and two grandchildren.
