The Clinton Herald Thursday April 17, 1939 p. 8 Mrs. Anna Riech, 3402 McKinley street, widow of Herman Riech, Sr., died at 4:50 o'clock this morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Woods, 1336 Harrison drive. Mrs. Riech has been ill for seven weeks. The body reposes in the Pape funeral home where the Rev. Georce W. Krueger, Zion Lutheran minister, will hold a service at 1 p.m. Saturday, with burial in Oakland cemetery. Miss Anna Kuhlmann was born Sept. 11, 1860, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kuhlmann. She and Herman Riech of Davenport were married Sept. 21, 1889. Mr. Riech died Feb. 5, 1937. Surviving are four children, Herman, Jr., Mrs. William Hurlburt and Mrs. Woods of Clinton and Fred of Dubuque, two sisters in Savannah, Ga., 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother, besides her husband, died before her.
