The Clinton Herald Friday March 22, 1895 p. 3 The death of Nicholas Cootey occurred at his residence, 690 Eleventh avenue, Thursday evening. The deceased had been ill for over six months with consumption. He had been a resident of this city for about six years and until recently was employed as switchman fo the B.C.R. & N. Railroad Co. A wife and one child are left to mourn his loss. Funeral services will take place at the residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by interment at the Catholic cemetery, Lyons.
