ONSLOW — Minnie G. Welty, 85, of Onslow, died Thursday at her home. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming. Burial will be in the South Mineral Cemetery, Onslow. Family and friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming. Minnie was born on December 20, 1922, in Linn County, the daughter of Louis and Nancy (Duncan) Jensen. She attended school in Martelle and Onslow. She married Merle Welty on June 28, 1940, in Tipton. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1992. She was a homemaker, and had worked at the seed corn plant in Onslow. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Charles) Holub, of Oxford Junction and one son, Kenneth (Dixie) Welty, of Onslow; three grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Edna (Daryl) Jansen, of Onslow and one brother, Lawrence Jensen, of Oxford Junction.
