CLINTON — William S. Huling, age 81, of Clinton, died Friday, February 1, 2008, at Wyndcrest Nursing Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be his grandsons: Mike, Dave, Adam, Nickolas, Thomas, Scott Brian and Christopher Huling, Michael Strutz, Dan Overby and Robert Petersen. William was born on August 19, 1926, in Delmar, Iowa, the son of Ernest and Mary Taylor Huling. He served with the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. William married Juanita Lund on December 3, 1944, in Clinton. Juanita died in 1997. He was employed in heating and air conditioning service retiring in 1989. William was a member of the AMVETS. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and listening to country western music. William is survived by four daughters, Anna (John) Sturtz of Circleville, OH, Judith (James) Haury of Wichita, KS, Lois (James) Robbins of Portland, OR, and Joan (Roger) Overby of Colorado Springs, CO; seven sons, William E. (Vicky) Huling of Tennessee, Kenneth (Linda) Huling of Clinton, Richard Huling of Colorado, Allen (Dianna) Huling of Camanche, John (Colleen) Huling of Clinton, Thomas Huling of Colorado and David Kruecher of Clinton; 28 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Verna Weinbeck of Topeka, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters. Death date: Feb. 1, 2008
