MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — Daniel R. Hohenhorst, 67, of Mountain Home, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 31, 2008. At his request, no services are planned. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.Daniel was born on October 13, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa, to Reinhold and Virginia Hohanhorst. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1959.Daniel worked as a systems analyst for the state of Idaho and as a consultant for the Idaho Fish and Game Department. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and trap.Daniel is survived by his mother, Virginia Hohenhorst, of Lincoln, Nebraska; his long-time companion, Charlotte “Faye” Johnson, of Mountain Home; her four children, Lesa Mittelsteadt of Boise, Anthony Johnson of Tennessee, Kevin Johnson of Georgia, Shonda Moran of California; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his two brothers, Steven and his wife, Sandra, of Nampa, Larry and his wife, Dara, of Columbia, Illinios; his sister, Patricia and her husband, Ron Stolley, of Lincoln, Nebraska; and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Reinhold.Death date: Jan. 31, 2008
