The Clinton Herald Friday July 29, 1932 p. 5 Carroll G. Walsh, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Walsh, died at 10:35 p.m. Thursday in Mercy hospital. Although he had been ill for several weeks his condition was so improved that members of the family went to Davenport to attend the funeral of his uncle, James W. Walsh, Thursday morning. A turn for the worse was evident late in the afternoon. His uncle M.A. Walsh, Jr., of Burlington, came to Clinton immediately on information of his death. Funeral services will be held Monday morning in St. Mary's church and burial will be in St. Marguerite's cemetery, Davenport. His parents and brothers Edmund C. Walsh, Jr., are buried there. Carroll G. Walsh wsa born in Clinton, May 9, 1900, in the home where he had resided, 315 Fifth avenue, South. He was graduated from Clinton high school with the class of 1918 and Nov. 14 of the same year was married to Miss Lorraine Collins. Besides his wife, a nephew, Edmund C. Walsh, III, also the widow of E.C. Walsh, Jr., are left in the home. Mr. Walsh had been in the real estate business in Clinton and was also identified with the leading social groups of the city, the Sheridan club, the Wapsipinicon club and the Clinton Country club, the family having been affiliated with these organizations for many years.
