The Clinton Herald Thursday December 22, 1955 p. 15 Mrs. Cora Burns Hufman, 76, of 223 4th Ave. S., died in Jane Lamb hospital Wednesday evening. The body is at the Bragonier-Fay funeral chapel, where friends may call beginning Friday noon. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel, with Rev. E.J. Blair of the First Presbyterian church, Fulton. Ill., officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Mrs. Hufman was born Sept. 17, 1879, in Ustick township, Ill., the daughter of William and Bertha Hoover Thomson. She was educated in country schools and in 1909 she was married to Charles W. Hufman who died in 1918. Mrs. Hufman operated a beauty shop in Clinton for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star O.E.S., and the White Shrine. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. J.H. (Nellie) Wright, Morrison, Ill., Mrs. F.C. (Neva) McFadden, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Henry (Grace) Myers, Lanark, Ill., three brothers, William H. and Earl D., both of Fulton, and Fred A., San Diego, Calif.; six nephews and six nieces. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, one brothers and one sister.
