The Clinton Herald Thursday December 5, 1946 p. 18 William W. Hufman, 63, Clinton native and general foreman at the North Western roundhouse, died of pneumonia t 8 p.m. Wednesday in Jane Lamb hospital where he had been ill 21 days. He lived at 741 Tenth avenue South. Services will be held at3 p.m. Saturday in the Snell funeral home where the body reposes. The Rev. Charles S. Hempstead, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate, and Rose Croix committal services will be conducted in Clinton Memorial park cemetery. Mr. Hufman was born Sept. 22, 1884, in Clinton, the son of William Henry and Alice Hufman. He lived practically his entire life here. On Aug. 30, 1905, he married Hulda Rumpf in Baraboo, Wis. Mr. Hufman was a member of Western Star 100, A.F. & A.M., De Molay consistory, O.E.S., 65, Magi Shrine and the Brotherhood of Railroad Employees. Survivors are his widow, two sons, William D. and Lafayette W., both of Clinton; one sister, Mrs. Frank Hatch, Dresbach, Minn., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He parents and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
