The Clinton Herald Saturday October 24, 1959 p. 8 Mrs. Hilda S. Hufman, 76, of 746 12th Ave. S., died early today in Masonic Sanitarium, Bettendorf, where she made her home the past week. The body is at the Snell-Smith funeral home where friends may begin calling at 7:30 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, with Rev. G. Demster Yinger, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park cemetery. Hilda S. Rumpf was born Sept. 18, 1883, at Ableman, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rumpf. She was married Aug. 30, 1905, at Baraboo, Wis., to William W. Hufman, and came to Clinton in 1912. He preceded her in death in 1946. Surviving are 2 sons, William D. and Lafe of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Von Wald, Milwaukee, Wis.; and a grandson. Preceding her in death also were her parents, 2 brothers and a sister.
