TThursday November 25, 1915 p. 6 Mrs. Isabelle Hufman, for 57 years a resident of Clinton, passed away this morning at 10:30 o'clock at her home, 410 Eighth avenue, following a brief illness with pneumonia. Funeral services which will be private, will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, to be conducted by Rev. G.A. Hess, pastor of the Central Church of Christ. Mrs. Hufman was born Isabella Taylor, April, 1826, in Kilkenny county, near Dublin, Ireland. When she was six weeks old her parents moved to America, residing in Pottsville, Pa. Here she was married to Robert Hufman and with him came west, residing in Chicago a few years and then to Clinton where the family had been continuously. To them were born many children, those growing to maturity being William, who passed away after he had attained honors as a C. & N.W. railway official; Sarah, Mrs. Simmons of Chicago; Olivia, Mrs. Lafayette Lamb, now in Pasadena, Cal.; Robert of Clinton; Frank of Seattle, Wash.; Belle, Mrs. E.B. McCullough of St. Paul; Fred of Chicago; Kittie, Mrs. Charles McMahon of Chicago, and Bruce of Clinton. There are also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild to mourn the beloved lady. Mrs. Hufman was a woman of sincerity of purpose, open handed generosity and exceeding great kindness, beloved in many homes through both city and county. Although her illness came quickly there was time to summon some of the kinfolk to her bedside and during the past few days she had been tenderly cared for by those resident in the city, also Mrs. McMahon, Mrs. Simmons, Mrs. McCollough and the latter's two daughters, Mrs. Irving and Mrs. McDonald, both of St. Paul.
