COSTA MESA, Calif. — Dolores Joan Donahey was born October 2,1918, in Lyons, Iowa, and passed December 27, 2007, in Tustin, California. Joan graduated from the St. Joseph School of Nursing. She married Donald Donahey, of Clinton, in 1941. They moved to Costa Mesa, California, in 1960. Don predeceased her eleven years earlier to the day — December 27,1996.She is survived by six daughters, Mary C. Whitney, Jeanne Bruneau, Marcia Sharabi, Kathleen Willoughby and Patricia Donahey-Tait, all of California, and Barabara Donahey of Seattle, Washington. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.After moving to California, she continued her nursing career and also graduated from Redlands University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She finished her career in the health department of Orange Coast College.Joan was a bright, cheerful and involved person who will be missed by all who knew her.Death date: Dec. 27, 2007
