The Clinton Herald Saturday September 14, 1929 p. 5 Charles J. Calnan passed away at Mercy hospital at 2:30 o'clock this morning after an illness of several months. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at St. Mary's church with mass celebrated at 10 o'clock. The decedent was born Sept. 10, 1879, attended St. Mary's school in Clinton, graduated from the Clinton high school and St. Mary's college in Kansas. He had been a resident in Davenport for a number of years. He leaves to mourn his father, J.P. Calnan, a brother, H.S. Calnan, a sister, Miss Alma Calnan. The mother and brother passed away several years ago. Friends are kindly asked to omit flowers.
