The Clinton Herald Saturday May 14, 1977 p. 8 Mrs. Esther Schnitzen, 87, a former Clinton resident, died Friday in Dallas, Tex. Services are pending at the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. She was born on April 12, 1890 in Clinton, the daughter of George and Ida Chapman Howes. She married Frank P. Schnitzen, who died in 1972. Survivors include a son, Paul, Dallas; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Armand (Lorraine) Thomsen, Clinton.
