The Clinton Herald Saturday November 8, 1997 p. 9 Claus J. Greve, 84, of Fulton, died Friday at Samaritan North. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. Stan Giles of Evangelical Free Church, Clinton, officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vernard J. Reuter, Vernard J. Reuter II, Jason and Sam Michelson, Kevin Reuter, Michael P. Van Zuiden and Russell DinWiddie. He was born Sept. 13, 1913, in Clinton, to William N. and Arvilla M. Jensen Greve. He married Irma J. Switzer, Aug. 21, 1937, in Tipton. he had been employed for 30 years as a diesel mechanic for International Harvestor in Clinton, and John Deere Implement in Fulton. He received his "Dr. Degree" from International Harvestor. He was a member of Evangelical Free Church, Clinton, where he served as a deacon and elder. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janice Carol Bannick of Chillicothe, Ill, Naomi Jeanne Reuter of Clinton, Myrna Paulette DinWiddle of Cordova, Ill., and Arvilla Belle Mickelson of Bettendorf; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. Death date: Nov. 7, 1997.
