The Clinton Herald Monday November 13, 1939 p. 5 Mrs. Chris Nelson died at 8:45 o'clock Sunday night in the home of her son, Jasper Nelson, Second avenue, South, and Eighteenth street. The Rev. A.C. Kildegaard, St. John's Danish Lutheran church minister, will conduct funeral services Wednesday afternoon in the church, and burial will be in Clinton Memorial park. The body will repose in the Snell funeral home until Tuesday morning when it will be taken to the family residence to repose until the funeral time. Johanna Lund was born Feb. 24, 1863, in Denmark. She and Chris Nelson were married March 20, 1882, and lived in Clinton all their married life. Mrs. Nelson was a member of St. John's church and of the Aid society. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Jasper Nelson of Clinton and Roy of Morrison, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Henry Tolf of DeKalb, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two brothers, Godfried Lund of Luck, Wis., and Willis Lund of Petoskey, Mich., and two sisters, Mrs. Chris Johannsen Petoskey, and Mrs. Peter Oiling of Sand City, Ill.
