The Clinton Herald Friday January 12, 1973 p. 12 Mrs. Amanda Dierks, 84, formerly of Clinton, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Colonial Nursing Home, Wheatland. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Shadduck-Cannon Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Mohr, associate pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Born Oct. 8, 1888 in Hampshire Township, she was the daughter of Hans and Margaret Roenfeldt Jepsen. She was married to Emil Dierks in 1912. He died in 1952. She attended Clinton County schools and farmed with her husband in Miles for many years before moving to Clinton. Mrs. Dierks is survived by several nieces and nephews in the Clinton area.
