The Clinton Herald Thursday December 2, 1920 p. 11 Mrs. George N. Chalker passed away at her home, 416 Eleventh avenue, at 2:40 o'clock this morning after a lingering illness. The deceased was born October 2, 1848, near Mt. Vernon and had been a resident of Clinton for the past 49 years. She was united in marriage February 1, 1870 to George N. Chalker of this city who preceded her in death February 19, 1920, after having celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary the first of February. She was the daughter of Emory C. Lamb and Isabelle Spencer. She leaves to mourn her death one son, Clarke N. Chalker of Clinton, one sister, Mrs. H.G. Carpenter of Geralding, Mont., who has been with her for the past five weeks, and several neices and nephews. She was a member of the First M.E. church and the Clara Barton circle of the Ladies of the G.A.R. Mrs. Chalker was a kind neighbor and a loving mother and will be mourned by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the home, 416 Eleventh avenue, with Rev. H.C. Culver of the Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery.
