John “Jack” Mann1927 - 2007KENOSHA, Wis. — John “Jack” F Mann, 80, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12th, 2007, at his residence.Born on May 18, 1927, in Clinton, Iowa, he was the son of the late Roy and Mary (Baumeister) Mann. He attended schools in Clinton, Iowa, and as a young man he moved to California. He lived there for 50 years until he moved to Kenosha on May 1, 2001.Jack honorably served his county in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945, spending time on the U.S.S. Valencia.For over 40 years, Jack was employed with Paramount Studios as a property master. He was proud to have worked on several famous sets including: “Taxi,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “The Bob Newhart Show,” “My Three Sons” and “The Sound of Music.” Jack being a man of many talents also had his real estate and pilot licenses.He was a member of the I.A.T.S.E.— International Alliance of Theatrical State Employees Local 44.Left to remember his life is his brother, Reverend Robert Mann of Sun City West, Ariz; a sister-in-law, Jean Mann of Kenosha; his nieces and nephew, Kathleen Mann of Englelwood, N.J., Steven (Fran) Mann of Oshkosh, Wis., Nancy (Mike) Levonowich of Pleasand Prairie, Wis., and Mary (Tom) Clifford of Paddock Lake, Wis; and his four great-nieces and nephews.Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Reverend Charles Mann and Roy V. Mann Jr., and a nephew, John Mann.Private funeral services will be held in Clinton, Iowa, at a later date.Death date: Dec. 12, 2007
