The Clinton Herald Monday May 8, 1950 p. 10 Mrs. Fred Zastrow, 53, died about 5 a.m. today in her home, 3011 North Second street. The body is in the Pape funeral home, were friends may call beginning this evening. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Zastrow was born in Clinton July 30, 1896, the daughter of H.G. and Margaret Jensen. She married Fred Zastrow Oct. 28, 1919, in Davenport. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church. Surviving are her husband; a son, Gerald, Clinton; two brothers, Chris and CArl, Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Curl, Clinton, and Mrs. Floyd Vaughan, Spokane, Wash.; a grandson, and nieces and nephews. Her parents, a son, three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
