The Clinton Herald Monday May 8, 1950 p. 10 Mrs. Elizabeth J. Blinkinsop died early Sunday morning in her home, 755 1/2 Twelfth avenue, South. She had been in failing health for a year. The body is in the Snell funeral home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ralph V. Hatch officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Mrs. Blinkinsop was born Elizabeth Jane Walton Dec. 10, 1873, in Belle Plaine, the daughter of George D. and Cynthia Ann Walton. She was educated in the public schools and married William H. Blinkinsop March 2, 1892. They came to Clinton in 1897 and he died in 1921. Mrs. Blinkinsop was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Surviving are three sons, Lloyd, Ray and George, Clinton; a daughter, Mrs. Emil (Marvelle) Chudwick, Aurora, Ill.; two brothers, M.R. Walton, Laurel, Mont., and John, Belle Plaine; seven grand children, and six great-grandchildren.
