The Clinton Herald Tuesday October 28, 1947 p. 9 DeWitt - Funeral services for Claus F. Greve were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the family home and at 2 o'clock in Grace Lutheran church. The Rev. Theodore E. Hinck was in charge. Hymns ere sung by Mrs. Hinck, Mrs. Ed Soenksen and Mrs. Roy Boysen, accompanied by Hazelaine Soenksen, organist. Active pallbearers included John Passick, Otto, Henry and Richard Lass, Arnold Bruhn and Henry Mehrens. Serving as honorary pallbearers were O.H. Joy, Hans Meggers, Andrew Soenksen, Merriell Cousins, L.H. Feldpausch, Elmer Benning. Five grandchildren of the deceased, Joyce, Joan and Gloria Greve, Marlene and Delores Nelson were in charge of the flowers. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery. Among those who attended from out of town were Mr. and Mrs John Gluesing, Newhall, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hansen, Milan, Ill., John Gluesing, Huron, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Weston, Mr. and Mrs. Carl seamer, Davenport, Mrs. John Lass, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rathje, Sabula, and others from Clinton, Davenport, Grand Mound, Low Moor, McCausland and Elvira.
