The Clinton Herald Wednesday January 6, 1966 p. 5 Funeral services for Mrs. A.C. (Grace) Smith, 90, widow of a prominent Clinton banker, who died Monday in Oconomowoc, Wis., will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in First Congregational church. Rev. Richard Dempsey, pastor of First Presbyterian church, will officiate. Mrs. John Harden will be organist. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alfred Nissen, Bruce Townsend, Robert White, Edgar Jorgensen, George Taylor, Kenneth Armstrong, John Van Allen and W.D. Morris III. The Snell-Smith funeral home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation. Grace Huston was born Sept. 13, 1875, in Ashton, Ill., the daughter of George W. and Mary L. Robinson Huston. She came to Clinton as a child. She was married to Alfred Cox Smith, Aug. 1, 1905, in Clinton. Her husband, who died in 1930, was president of City National bank and a former president of the Iowa Bankers association. The bank was founded by his father. Mrs. Smith was a charter member of Clinton Daughters of the American Revolution and Women's club, board member of the YWCA, Jane Lamb hospital and Visiting Nurses association, a trustee of First Congregational church and a member of Onawa Club and Plymouth Circle. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jay M. (Eleanor) Kramer of Clinton and Mrs. Charles (Elizabeth) Livesey of Racine, Wis., and five grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
