The Clinton Herald Friday September 27, 1985 p. 12 Edwin S. Beal, 70, of 3764 Southeast Fairway, Stuart Fla., formerly of Clinton and Minocqua, Wis., died Wednesday in his home. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart, Fla. The body will be cremated. Mr. Beal was born June 26, 1915, in Moline, Ill., to Ralph W. and Blanch Cowell Beal. He married Jean Metcalf, July 19, 1942. Mr. Beal graduated from Iowa State University in chemical engineering and became plant superintendent of Collis Company. In 1945 he was promoted to vice president and general manager, becoming president in 1949. He retired in 1964 and moved to Stuart 15 years ago from Minocqua, Wis. Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard of Modesto, Calif.; a daughter, Carolyn Brown of Winnetka, Ill.; five grandchildren; and a brother, Milton of Omaha, Neb.
