The Clinton Herald Monday May 5, 1930 p. 5 Margaret Adelaide Beal, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Beal of Breezy Point, passed away Saturday evening at 9:30 o'clock at home after an illness of seventeen weeks. Funeral services are to be held at the home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and interment will be in Springdale cemetery. The pallbearers are to be the men who reside at Breezy Point, O.D. Collis, S.W. Towle, Manor LaBatt, E.H. Christy and W.E. Armstrong and George Ward. Margaret was born on a farm in Zuma township, Rock Island county, Ill. December 27, 1913. She leaves her parents, her two brothers, Edwin Spencer Beal and Milton Walter Beal and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Corwell, all of Clinton. There are also Mrs. Beal's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. I.G. Cowell of Moline, Ill., and her sister, Miss Verne Cowell, who came today from Jacksonville, Fla., and Mr. Beal's sister, Mrs. Frank Wake of Rock Island, Mrs. John Nicholson of Miline, Mrs. Omar Carr of Rock Falls and Mrs. R.F. Anthony of Moline and their husbands. There are also a number of cousins and distant relatives who mourn the lovely young girl. Margaret Beal was a lovely young girl, for she radiated happiness. Players of other years on the Kiwanis golf links will not soon forget the bird like music of her laugh, the coppery gold aurora of her curly hair, and the dancing steps with which she played across the greens. She loved life in its most winsome aspect, she loved Breezy Point so completely that at the very last she wanted to lie where she could look out into the very heart of the trees and which the birds making their nests unafraid of her presence for they seemed to know that she was like them, transient.
