The Clinton Herald Tuesday February 28, 1939 p. 5 Carl M. Limbrecht, 1411 South Fifth street, died at 5:45 a.m. today in the family home. He had been ill a week. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Zion Lutheran church, the Rev. George W. Krueger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. The body reposes in the family home. Mr. Limbrecht was born May 21, 1857, in Detzbul, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and came to the United States 53 years ago. He was married to Marguerite Christine Anderson Soenksen, Feb. 15, 1895, in Clinton. She died Feb. 23, 1933. Mr. Limbrecht is survived by the following children: Mrs. Marie Yonkers, Le Claire; Mrs. Helen Goff, Walter and William Limbrecht, Clinton; Mrs. Martha Siefert, Galva, Ill.; Herman Limbrecht, Long Beach, Calif.; two step-sons, John and Andrew Soenksen, Clinton, and two half-brothers, Chris and August Nissen, Clinton. There are also 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death, in addition to his wife, by two sisters, Mrs. Herman Miller and Engelena Limbrecht, and one step-daughter, Mrs. William Daley.
