The Clinton Herald Saturday January 17, 1920 p. 6 Funeral services for the late Mrs. Wilhelmina Brodersen of Charlotte were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the home of her son, Johannes Brodersen in Charlotte, where she died at 3:30 o'clock Thursday morning. Rev. Mr. Jobst was in charge and interment was in the McClure cemetery north of Charlotte. Born in Germany in 1840, Wilhelmina Hansen, she was married in 1863 to Detlef Brodersen, who passed away about 40 years ago. In 1867, Mr. and Mrs. Brodersen came to Clinton and directly to Charlotte, where Mrs. Brodersen resided all of the rest of her life. Left to mourn her death are three sons, Johannes and Detlef of Charlotte and Julius of Huron, S.D., one daughter, Mrs. Mary Brattheur of Preston, 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
