The Clinton Herald Wednesday January 29, 1958 p. 13 Mrs. M.A. Jurgensen, 68, of 706 Main Ave., died at 7 a.m. today in her home following a lingering illness. The body is in the Pape funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Jurgensen was born Oct. 16, 1889, in Hamburg, Germany, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Otto Langheim. She came to the United States with her parents as an infant and has lived in Clinton for about 67 years. She was married Dec. 20, 1912, to M.A. Jurgensen. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and was active in the church Ladies Aid and sewing circle. She was a past president of the Odeon Auxiliary and a member of the Policemen's Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband; a son, Wilbur of Clinton; five daughters, Mrs. Lester (Bernadine) Petersen of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Clifford (Marvel) Eggers, Mrs. Vernon (Audrey) Rogis and Mrs. John (Lorraine) Mungen, all of Clinton, and Mrs. Jack (Valeria) Wittek of Chicago; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Ed Langheim of Clinton, Herman of Elvira and Harry of Camanche; four sisters, Mrs. Melvin Stromblad and Mrs. Virgil Riley of Chicago and Mrs. Alfred Peters and Mrs. Otto Ockenfels of Clinton; one half-sister, Mrs. Victoria Fareweather of California and a half-brother, Maj. Ray Langheim, stationed with an army unit in England. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and a granddaughter.
