ALBANY, Ill. — Donald A. Reedy, 69, of 708 N. Bluff Street, Albany, IL, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at KSB Hospital, Dixon, Ill.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Albany, IL. The Rev. Father David Austin, pastor of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Albany, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2007, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lusk Memorial Cemetery, Albany, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Albany, IL, and Albany Ambulance Service. He was born May 29, 1938, in Morrison, IL, to Archie F. and Phyllis R. (Slaymaker) Reedy. He was educated in a rural Whiteside County grade school. He was a graduate of Erie High School, Erie, IL. He was a graduate of the American Institute of Commerce and the Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Chicago, IL. He was the former owner of Schilling-Reedy Funeral Home, Erie, IL; Reedy Funeral Home, Albany, IL; and co-owner of Querhammer Funeral Home, Crystal Lake, IL. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Albany, IL; Knights of Columbus, Fulton/Albany Council 9972; Erie Lodge 667 A.F. and A.M., Erie, IL; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Moline, IL; Tebala Shrine, Rockford, IL; Minerva Chapter 6 Order of Eastern Star, Prophetstown, IL; Illinois Funeral Directors Association; National Funeral Directors Association; Federated Funeral Directors of America. Survivors include three daughters, Lynne M. (Keith) Sondgeroth of Byron, IL; Joellen E. (Steve) Roos of Cedar Park, TX; and Karen D. (David) Rice, Monument, CO; A.F.S. son, Dirk (Patricia) DeBruyn, Ramsel, Belgium; seven grandchildren, Nicholas (Brianne) Sieberg, Megan Sieberg, Joshua (Elizabeth) Roos, Jacob Roos, Rachel, Morgan and Jonathan Rice; one great-grandson, Landen C. Sieberg; and two sisters, Janice A. (Richard) Brandenburg of Albany, IL, and Mary J. (Greg) Betts, Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
