MORRISON, Ill. — Sara M. Hessler, 99, of 734 Milnes Drive, Morrison, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Curl, pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, Morrison, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery, Beloit, WI. Memorials may be made to Morrison United Methodist Church. She was born September 23, 1908, in Osceola, IA, to Luther D. and Dora A. (VanDevender) Siron. She was educated in Nampa grade schools. She was a graduate of Nampa High School, Nampa, Idaho. She married Colbert T. Hessler on December 23, 1944, in St. Louis, MO. He died April 26, 1981. She was employed for 16 years by the J.C. Penney Company, Janesville, WI, as a sales clerk, retiring in 1968. Sara moved from Janesville to Morrison in 1990 to be near her daughter. She was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church, Morrison, IL, and the church’s Priscilla and Ruth Circles. Survivors include one daughter, Joan (Leo) Sullivan, Morrison, IL; three grandsons, Rick (Suzanne) Sullivan of Mt. Prospect, IL, Tim (Lisa) Sullivan of Kenilworth, IL, and Jim Sullivan, Chicago, IL; six great-grandchildren, Bracken, Camden and Molly Sullivan; Garrett, Bailey and Lauren Sullivan; and one sister, Mrs. Virginia Graves of Joseph, OR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colbert; parents; four sisters, Vyrl Hubbard, Lutie Sartell, Alden Hager, Aizle Dawes; two brothers, Gilbert and Van Siron.
