Hardersen Funeral Set for Wednesday
A private graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery for Edward Hardersen, 85, of 703 3rd St., Camanche, who died Monday in Samaritan North.
Camanche Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Pacifico Camarin, United Methodist Church, Camanche, will officiate. There will be no visitation.
Pallbearers will be David, Dan, Bob Bopes, Arlyn Schmidt and Alvin Proud.
Mr. Hardersen was born Oct. 6, 1903 in Clinton, to Thomas and Catherine Carstensen Hardersen. He married Ruth Jordan, Oct. 14, 1926, in Clinton. He and his wife owned and operated Hardersen Grocery Store on Camanche Avenue for 45 years. He lived his entire life in Clinton.
He was a member of United Methodist Church, and a former Moose member.
Survivors include his wife; a foster son, Jerry Wells of San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, William Hardersen of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by a foster son, four brothers and a sister.
