Ruth Hardersen service Saturday
Ruth Hardersen, 82, of 703 3rd St., Camanche, died Thursday in Wydcrest Nursing Home.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Bohl, First United Methodist Church officiating. There will be no visitation. Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be David, Brian, Brent and Charles Bopes and Arlyn Schmidt.
Mrs. Hardersen was born May 23, 1907 in Camanche to Frank and Grace Platt Jordan. She married Edward Hardersen, Oct. 24, 1926, in Clinton. He died April 24, 1989. Mrs. Hardersen and her husband had owned and operated Hardersen Grocery Store on Camanche Avenue since 1934. She was employed at the grocery store for more than 45 years. She was a 1926 graduate of Clinton High School and had lived all of her life in the Clinton area. She was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church, Camanche.
Survivors include a foster son, Jerry Wells of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a foster son, two sisters and a brother.
