William Hardersen, 87, of 740 14th Ave. S., died Monday in Bluff Terrace Nursing Home.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with Rev. Francis Griffeth, Chancy Lutheran Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery,
Pallbearers will be Darvin, Edwin and Philbert Hardersen, Terry J. Mathiesen, Pat O'Connell and Eric Ketelsen.
Mr. Hardersen was born Oct. 5, 1901, in Clinton County, to Thomas and Catherine Carstensen Hardersen. He married Else Gore, Sept. 20, 1930, in Clinton. She died in June of 1985. He was a lifelong resident of Clinton County and had worked in maintenance for Clinton Corn Processing Company for 43 years, retiring in 1966.
Mr. Hardersen was member of the Clinton Corn 25-Year Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 705, Odeon Club and Chancy Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert C. (Nancy) Ketelsen of Clinton, and Mrs. Louis S. (Janice) Hurst of Ashland, Ohio; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.
