Mrs. Chris (Clara C.) Hardersen, 77, Route 1, DeWitt, died Monday afternoon at Westwing Place after an extended illness.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in McGinnis Funeral Home, with Rev. William Spencer of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Calamus, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darvin and Philbert Hardersen, Robert Gray, Donald Jensen, Vincent Bier and Warren Sutton.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Clara C., daughter of Chris and Carrie Knutsen Nielsen, was born Oct. 28, 1896, at Teeds Grove. She married Mr. Hardersen Feb. 26, 1920, in Clinton.
Surviors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Pat (Lucille) O'Connell, DeWitt; one son, Edwin, Davenport; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Earl Lingle, Preston, Mrs. John Bier, Hillsdale, Ill., and Mrs. Alfred Noskov, Clinton, and one brother, Even Nielsen, Chicago. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
