The funeral will be 10:30 am.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church for Gladys L. Cook, 88, of 2216 Lafayette Terrace, who died Monday at Samaritan North.
The Rev. Richard L. Sebeniecher will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jack Upton, William Parker, David Determann, Marvin Hankemeier, Louis Kaufman and William Cook.
Mrs. Cook was born June 24, 1904, in Clinton, to Frank and Mary Belle Benedict Holle. She married George Hardersen in 1926, in Clinton. She later married Carleton Cook in 1949 in Kansas City, Mo. He died in 1975. She lived in Miles for many years before moving to Clinton in 1978. She was a 1922 graduate of Clinton High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Patience Circle, Clinton Women's Club and enjoyed playing bridge at the Ericksen Center.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Jo Schoenig and Mrs. Louis (Carol) Kaufman, both of Clinton, Barbara Parker of Camanche, and Aleon DeVore of Denver, Colo; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
