Mass of the Christian Burial was Monday at Prince of Peace Parish, Sacred Heart Church for Clarence E. McNulty, 81, of 513 Fourth Ave. North.
He died Friday in Samaritan North.
The Rev. Joseph Wolf officiated. Burial was in St. Irenaeus Cemetery, Pape Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Vernon Rosenberger, Clarence Krogman, Dalls Schumacher, John Boland, Carl Johnson and Werner Wilke.
He was born Dec. 22, 1914 in Clinton to John and Margaret Hardersen McNulty. He married Irene Murray, Feb. 27, 1940 in Clinton.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United State Army in the North African and Italy campaigns, where he received the Purple Heart.
He had been employed as a glazer with the Kurtz Glass Company and also with the Clinton Community School District, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Camanche Chapter of the VFW, and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife; twin daughters, Jean McNulty of Dixon, Ill., and Mrs. Joan (Timothy) McGowan of DeCalb, Ill.; a grandson; and a sister, Mrs. Eleanor, (Harold) Jaeger of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Death date: Aug. 2, 1996
