Marjorie H. Detlefsen, 86, formerly of Milledgeville, died Wednesday at Polo Continental Manor Nursing Home, Polo, Ill.
A memorial service was 10:30 a.m. Jan. 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Milledgeville, with the Rev. Michael Lawyer officiating. The body was cremated. Inurnment will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Allen-Woodin Funeral Home, Milledgevill, was in charge of the arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers were Andy Barkely, Tom Hardersen, Randy Landis, Ivan Miller, Gary Nye and Bill Parker Jr.
She was born Sept. 6, 1910, in Clinton, to Martin Peter and Helga Jergenson[sic] Harderson[sic]. She married Norman Holly[sic]. He died in 1938. She later married Charles Patterson. He died in 1955. She then married Donald H. Detlefsen, Sept. 1, 1956, in Morrison, Ill. He died July 28, 1980.
She was employed as a teller with Clinton National Bank for several years.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star of Clinton.
Survivors include three nieces and a nephew, Shirley Nye of Milledgeville, Barbara Parker and Mary Jo Schoenig, both of Clinton, and Tom Hardersen of Bryant.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
